Colorful wonderful

I'm working on a project at the office that is tedious, at best. Sometimes my mind wanders and later, I discover mistakes and oversights - whoops! I know it's because rather than focusing on my work, I start thinking and before long, I forget what I'm doing! And trust me, there is plenty to be distracted by.

So, to help me tolerate this tedious portion of my job (let's be honest: 95% of my job is tedious), I discovered the joy of colored highlighters. They make my work seem oh-so-wonderful when in reality the truth is less-than-colorful. (Boring = not colorful.)

When I worked at In His Image, I had colored binders, brightly colored sticky notes, charts and diagrams and workflows in all the lovely shades of the rainbow. Too bad I don't have a color printer at work...I could spice up this job in a heartbeat! My school binders are green and red and white with colored paper. There is a system to the madness too - colors represent categories, you know?

My love for color has really held me in quandry about our wedding colors. After settling on the main colors, I finally picked my final accent color: green. Seems appropriate right? I must be pragmatic in all my choices, and with green, I get a lovely color AND the proper send-off for my maiden name. I'll miss having a color name, but I'm pretty excited about my new name and all that comes with it. 164 days to go!
